TTouch for Reactivity Workshop 2

TTouch for Reactivity 2 Workshop

Dates:  New dates available soon.

Time: 10AM-12 noon

Location: Thornhill, near Dewsbury, West Yorkshire

Tutor: Janet Finlay, TTouch Practitioner Level 3

This half-day workshop is a follow on to the TTouch for Reactivity 1 workshop and focuses on using the TTouch Confidence Course to help reactive dogs learn to be calm around their triggers.

You will learn:
- What the Confidence Course is and how it can help your dog to build confidence at home.
- How we use the Confidence Course in "set ups" to teach reactive dogs to be calm around their triggers.
- How you can apply these principles out on walks to practice when you don't have helper dogs or Confidence Course equipment.

During the workshop you will have the opportunity to practice with your dog and other dogs (or people), at a distance where they are comfortable.

It is essential that you have taken the TTouch for Reactivity 1 workshop prior to doing this course (or an equivalent TTouch course or consultation). If you are not sure if your experience is sufficient please ask. At a minimum you should know how to walk a dog on two points of connection, how to use the TTouch technique stroking the lead to reduce tension and stop pulling, how to use a balance lead to contain your dog if needed and how to use TTouches such as the Zebra touch to calm your dog if he is getting aroused.

Limited to a maximum of six people and four dogs per session so please book early. Dogs must be safe around people and able to tolerate another dog across a field. Screening is available if needed.

£35 per person and dog
£20 per person without dog

Includes access to refresher videos on techniques for 3 months following the workshop.

NOTE: If a place is not listed on the right for a particular date it means these are sold out. Please choose a different date. I am updating the site as quickly as possible following bookings, but I reserve the right to refund a booking if a particular date is over-subscribed. It is important for the dogs that we stick to the maximum number.

This workshop is the second in a series of three.
